A good spot near restaurants and not far from the historical sites, with a good breakfast. The single beds in private rooms aren't comfortable enough, and the bathrooms need a deep clean, especially the moldy shower curtain. Fine for a couple of nights, but that's about it.

At least the staff were nice. The place looks fancy but has no soul, and I think there's a reason it was totally empty. It's cold and inconvenient, and lots of things don't work. There was no hot water in the big dormitory, and the small one is next to a disco, so sleep was impossible. They also lost my favourite TSHIRT in the laundry. This place is a joke.

We got good value for the price, and the communal spaces gave the place a college dorm kind of vibe, in a good way. It's a great location and the staff were nice. When we extended our stay, our usual room wasn't available for the second night, so the woman at the front desk moved us into a suite at a discounted rate. She also offered us a premium breakfast at no charge after we were woken up by incessant hammering around 6:30 or 7:00 am on the second morning. The building is shared with other businesses, apparently, and the hotel couldn't do anything about the noise. Something to consider if you value a peaceful morning. There was no phone in the room, and our first room didn't have a TV, maybe only suites do. There was also a $65 penalty if you “ruin” a towel with makeup, which made my partner stressed about using them. Maybe offering complimentary makeup wipes would make sense with that policy.

I usually love staying at Selina because it's clean and has really nice amenities, but the music next door is so loud you can't fall asleep. Without ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones, it's IMPOSSIBLE to sleep here at night. If you're okay with wearing them, then I recommend staying, but there are other nice hostels nearby without this problem.
