The location is a real plus, but the rooms need some attention. The air conditioning seems to date from the 80s, and in some rooms it's incredibly loud. The internet is slow, the pillows need proper cases because stains show when you take the covers off, and there’s no hot water service. I also saw cockroaches, so the cleaning needs to be more thorough and the place fumigated. I’d rate the service a 4 and the rooms a 3. There’s room to improve. Hope they keep at it.

The price was affordable for an overnight stay, and the service was good. The two things that kept me from giving it five stars were the missing towels, which I had to ask for, and the lack of outlets by the bed. The only ones were in the bathroom, and they made both my charger and my partner’s phone get very hot.

I haven’t actually been inside, so I can’t comment on the place itself. Next door, though, Aunt Vero's restaurant serves delicious food and lovely coffee. Lunch comes with plantain dumplings, steak, and egg, and you can choose what to eat. It was simply delicious.

It’s conveniently placed near Guayaquil’s tourist attractions. The rooms are pleasant, with air conditioning, a TV, and private bathrooms. Just know there’s no room service.
