This was my third stay, and the Continental has been consistent each time. The central location makes it easy to get to the Malecón. The buffet breakfast has lots of choices and is high quality. The room was very clean, with fresh linens and towels changed every day. Staff were professional, courteous, and friendly. When I asked, they promptly brought a replacement fridge and extra pillows.

The restaurant is a nice part of the hotel, the rooms were clean, and we had an excellent view of the Cathedral. Staff were pleasant, and the location was decent. There aren't enough restaurants nearby, though, and the streets get rather dark at night. In daytime it felt safe, or as safe as a large foreign city can be.

We live in Cuenca and this has become our regular hotel when we visit Guayaquil. The restaurant is good and handy, the staff are very accommodating, and the rooms and hallways are always clean. I also like the mid-century modern decor.

The welcome drinks were much appreciated on a hot summer day. Staff were friendly and spoke English well, and the Wi-Fi was fast. The hotel was very clean, and breakfast was fantastic, with a huge range of dishes.

Seven years ago, we celebrated my mother's 80th birthday here. The food and drinks were perfect, the DJ was great, and everyone was very professional. She had a lovely time. She's now resting in peace.
