I stayed here while doing the Quilatoa loop in two days, and the owner was extremely helpful even though we had a language barrier. The room was comfortable, and meals could be served at the time I preferred. After a full day hiking, a hot shower was great. The hotel is also close to the town center, with eateries and grocery stores on the same street. Highly recommended!

The spacious rooms have a small balcony overlooking the towering pasture beside the narrow road. This hotel is in the center of the small town, run by a welcoming young couple, and has a rustic hostel feel. Dinner is included in the price. Mine came with a tiny biscuit sprinkled with M&M, but it left a sweet aftertaste, and breakfast was generous. A lovely break in the journey after a long hike.

For a cheap price, I had my own room and bathroom, a balcony, water refills, and they gave me more food when I asked. The room was cold, but there were plenty of blankets for the night, so I wasn't freezing. The food was boring, the Wi-Fi was sometimes bad, and the English wasn't the best. The atmosphere wasn't good either. If you want a cheap private room, it's a good choice. If you'd rather meet people, have a nicer atmosphere, and don't mind dorms and paying a bit more, Black Sheep or Clod Forest have great food!

The showers were really warm and the value was better than the other hostels in town. I'd pick this place over them all. Best breakfast I've had in eight months backpacking in South America.
