For $25 a night, this was a nice hostal with a clean pool and a good breakfast, as good as what you'd get at the $90 hotel. The owners are really friendly, and the air-conditioned room had been updated. I'd recommend it.

There wasn't any drinking water when we visited, and for what we paid, the breakfast was very basic.

The grocery store next door was handy, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. Still, we don't think we'll come back. The bathroom floor got so dirty that we didn't want to use it to clean up anymore, and we found a cockroach in the room. I left it in the middle of the floor on purpose, and it stayed there until we checked out on the last day. We were there for two nights. Having to pay upfront was frustrating when we arrived tired from a trip, since nothing could move forward until they saw the payment. If they provided anything extra, they also chased us to pay for it. Maybe something happened before that made them handle payments this way, but I don't agree with it. It was a poor fit for us, even for a rushed stay that had been planned.
