The location couldn't be better, and the dorms are cozy. I loved the clean, well-equipped kitchen and the common areas, which are great for hanging out or unwinding. The staff are incredible, and the whole place really feels like home. I'll be back without a second thought!

There’s lots of ground to relax on between surf sessions, and the facilities are good with comfy beds. The hostel is run by a really friendly, helpful family. Just a heads up for light sleepers: the room nearest the bar can get a bit loud at night, but the other rooms are much quieter :)

We planned to stay two nights and ended up staying a week. It was the perfect place for us to get away from tourism. In the trees, we spotted toucans and iguanas from the hammocks. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily, and there’s a fully equipped kitchen plus plenty of grass and common space to spread out. The owners are a really helpful young family. Mompiche is my favourite spot on the Ecuadorian coast, and low season is even better, with beaches and waves to yourself and lower rates. I can’t recommend this hostel and little surf and fishing village highly enough. Thanks guys, we’ll be back!
