A calm, peaceful place, just a three-minute walk from the beachfront and a five-minute drive from Montañita. You can party hard and come back somewhere quiet to rest. No noise, loud music, or TV at all))) A lost paradise for surfing, scuba diving, and meditation.

The hostal itself is decent, with clean rooms and several spots around the grounds with tables and chairs. Its kitchen was the best equipped I've seen in Ecuadorian hostals. It's a five-minute walk to the beach, and there isn't any parking. Finding the place is a pain, though: Hostal Oloncita has no sign with its name, and Google Maps got irritated after I passed the nameless hostal a few times and sent me 29 km north.

The beach is less than a minute away, and you can get some "masajes" there too :) The price is more than fair, and we had a great experience, so I'll come back. The owner is a really nice German guy, and whatever you need is there, with a restaurant included. The rooms are beautiful and put together with lots of attention to detail.

The photos on booking are outdated, and the place isn't well maintained. I guess covid didn't help. It felt more like we were living in the German owner's house than staying in a hostel, and the welcome wasn't very friendly either.

The rooms are charming and have all the amenities. It's a few meters from the beach, in a quieter area than Olon.
