The Heights in Montanita

We paid for three nights as digital nomads, and the place was filthy when we arrived. There was dog hair on the bed, the floor was dusty, the kitchen smelled of mold, and every air conditioner was dirty and dusty. I opened them myself, and it looked as if none had been maintained or cleaned since the house was built. I started coughing and had a fever the day we arrived. My wife, daughter and dog were all sick that same day. The next morning, there were dead cockroaches all over the floor. The listing was false: there was no shampoo or conditioner, no coat hangers or microwave, and the TV kept losing its internet connection. I asked the person in charge to bring a broom, dustpan and mop because the cleaning hadn't been done properly, but got no response. The pool and jacuzzi were dirty, and it looked like people had urinated in them. This was the worst Airbnb ever. I don't recommend it. 🤮 To be clear, nobody demanded anything from us. I paid, and yes, we arrived earlier than expected. We didn't demand to get in, you let us leave our suitcases and belongings in one room while it was being cleaned, and we went out for an hour. When we returned, the place was a nasty hellhole. How can you say the dog caused the hair? My dog is a tiny Shih Tzu and can't jump onto a high bed. We're not nasty people and don't let our dogs sleep on the bed. And when do you say you cleaned the jacuzzi in front of us? Were we, as Airbnb guests, supposed to sit outside and watch you clean it? Yes, you did send someone to clean the air conditioner hours later, but they only cleaned the outer lip that swings back and forth. Nobody took out the filter for a deep clean. We're sending the department of health to find out who's lying.

We had a great birthday week at The Heights, staying in the jacuzzi house. Everything was as promised, and Anahi was there whenever we needed help. The location couldn't be better: just a couple of minutes on foot from the town center, while the house still gives you a little peace and quiet. Thanks for such a good week in Montanita!

We stayed for a week and had an amazing time. There are four bathrooms for 12 people, warm showers, and very good AC in every room. Shaun would show up within minutes if we needed anything, like fresh drinking water, and he's a really nice guy to hang out with. The price and quality are great, and I'd recommend the house to anyone looking for a good time in Montanita. The rooftop is also a nice place to invite friends, with its jacuzzi, pool and amazing view.

Sean was the best host, super approachable and always ready to help. Just ask him if you need anything, and he'll either sort it out himself or point you to someone who can. The views are great, and the common area with its pool and jacuzzi is fun. They empty and clean the jacuzzi every morning. Excellent stay.
