Hostal Santa Fe 2

The hot shower and prime location were great, and private rooms are very affordable. Book directly for a lower price. It’s not especially upscale, but it does the job. My room had no outside-facing window, only one onto the hotel’s interior courtyard, which wasn’t ideal. Laundry costs $3/kg, which seemed expensive, so go across the street for half that. They also have an odd checkout policy: you have to hand in your towel, and they check for stairs.

The private room price and location are hard to beat. But the walls seem paper thin, and you can hear everything. Most rooms have windows facing the inner patio, which makes all the noise carry. Bring earplugs.

They said they couldn’t give us our change at the time, then at checkout the next day claimed they’d already returned the money and had it on camera. When we asked them to check the footage, they said it would take too much time to search. It felt like one big scam. Please don’t support places like this.

Comfortable rooms and good value for the money.
