Isla Azul Hotel

The service was lovely, and breakfast was good. It's a small, nice hotel just a few minutes on foot from the main street in Puerto Ayoro. The beds are comfortable and the showers have decent pressure, though getting the temperature right is a bit tricky. Rooms and bathrooms are a little worn, but still serviceable.

The owner was so kind and went out of her way to make our stay wonderful. My friend got sunburned, and she brought him lots of fresh aloe at no charge. I absolutely loved staying here. Breakfasts were great, too. Highly recommend!

The staff were friendly and responsive, and the beds were comfortable enough. But don't expect a high-end hotel. The rooms get very hot, and the AC doesn't work well. WiFi is hit or miss, so using data may be a better option. Sleeping can be hard when it's that warm.

We spent 4 days here on our Galapagos trip, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing, and when we needed a later breakfast one day because of a morning hike, they made us a great breakfast later on. Our room was clean and welcoming. Diego at the front desk especially stood out: he was friendly, always around for questions, and happy to suggest food or activities on the island. It's also well located for diving and other water activities. I'd highly recommend this place.
