Stefany's Lodging

The pool was really nice, but I wouldn't expect too much from this place. Our apartment had no hot water and one toilet was broken, though luckily there were two and the other worked. The beds were clean, but some towels smelled moldy. The fridge was clean, while the cupboards holding the kitchen equipment were so disgusting that we had to wash everything before using it. The owners didn't speak English, which made communicating difficult. They charged us for broken snorkeling gear and got upset when I tried to explain that the snorkel was already broken. They didn't understand English and made no effort to use Google Translate. I'm also not sure why others mention breakfast, as nobody offered us any.

We felt very welcome at Stefanys lodging. Giovanni and everyone else were so kind and helpful, and the atmosphere felt like a family place. Everything was very clean, and on a few days we even got a special breakfast. A lovely stay, highly recommended.

I had a great experience here. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting.

The bathrooms smelled awful, and ants filled the room. When we raised the ant problem, the response was that they have that issue. Service was terrible, with staff showing no interest. The hotel was nearly empty, yet they hurried us out at exactly 10:00 AM, claiming other guests were coming into the room, which wasn't true. The food was awful too: even the scrambled eggs were bad, and each glass of juice seemed to have a kilo of sugar in it. The hotel and its owners made this my worst experience in the Galapagos. Absolutely terrible, not recommended at all. Never go there.
