The Galeodan Suites

The 360 Tour on Sean's boat, the Lodan, was one of the highlights of our adventure, though really the whole trip was a highlight. It was a pleasure spending time with Sean and Elena and enjoying San Cristobal Island. Before booking and again before arriving on San Cristobal, we exchanged lots of messages with Sean. He set expectations clearly and shared useful, interesting information about the suites, the island, the Galapagos generally and important entry requirements. The Penthouse Suite was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a picturesque harbor view. Sean checked in via WhatsApp each day to arrange trash collection and restocking food and water. We enjoyed starting the day with eggs, fresh rolls and jam, plus coffee and tea. We stayed five nights, and the location worked really well: about a five-minute walk into town, under five minutes to Playa Mann, and around five minutes to the Interpretation Center and the path toward Playa Carolla and beyond. My spouse and I had a wonderful stay at Galeodan Suites.

The kitchen has basic equipment, enough for cooking simple meals at home. Sean and Maria Elena were incredibly responsive and helpful, and we even got an airport taxi from them. They left us breakfast supplies every day: coffee, tea, pastries, butter, jam, eggs and milk. The place was spotless, comfortable and roomy, with a lovely view across the bay of Puerto Baquerizo. I'm already looking forward to returning for my next work trip to the Galapagos and staying in this home away from home.

San Cristobel was a perfect island for our holiday, with bays a short walk away where we could snorkel with sea turtles, sea lions, puffer fish and other amazing marine life instead of depending on expensive tours every day. The apartment was clean, roomy and lovely, overlooking the sea. Fresh bread, eggs and milk arrived daily, and Sean and his family were welcoming and incredibly helpful. It couldn't have been better.

The balcony view was one of our favorite things, especially with the lovely natural light in the suite in the morning and at sunset. Our hosts helped set up a 360° island tour, which was fantastic and a trip highlight. The suite was comfortable, and while breakfast isn't officially included, the hosts made sure we had what we needed for a good breakfast before heading out. We spent five days and four nights in San Cristóbal with our family this February. The place was peaceful and only about a seven-minute walk to the restaurant area in the center. It's also close to Playa Mann, a nice spot to watch the sunset, and near the Interpretation Center and Tijeretas for snorkeling. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return if we can.
