We’ve eaten here twice during our stay, and I’m looking forward to trying their beach location. There are lots of small plates with Spanish flair, and the food is highly recommendable. Our server took time to explain the very fresh ingredients, and the poolside atmosphere was lovely. The service was wonderful.

We had a delicious meal and a relaxing, indulgent evening. The paella was truly wonderful, and my wife and I both enjoyed it immensely. Before that, we shared a fresh salad with a tasty vinaigrette. We came for an early dinner, and the excellent decor, ambiance, and service made the pool nearby and the sounds of activity a delightful part of the setting.

I’ve stayed at Hotel Ancora for a week twice now, and I enjoy coming back when I’m in Puerto Lopez. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the place is comfortable and colorful. The rooms are clean and nice, with hot water, air conditioning, and comfortable beds. There’s a pool on site, and the beach is a five-minute walk away. The restaurant is amazing, with incredibly delicious food and great coffee.

We were charged for a deluxe room but got a small standard double instead. At $65 a night, it was barely adequate: small and worn, with no closet and just one towel for two people. The pool wasn't available after 6:30 pm, and we had to track someone down to check in. Seriously overpriced for the off season.

Breakfast felt cozy with the birds chirping nearby. The shared restaurant and common area are nicely decorated and have a lovely pool. The food and drinks were tasty, and the staff serving them were cheerful. The rooms were clean, spacious enough, and had air conditioning. I’d definitely come back.
