I felt safe staying here on my own, since the whole hostel has cameras. It’s across the street from the beach, beach bar, and a good restaurant, and there’s an upstairs balcony with a view of the beach and sunset. I stayed with Janet and her family for 3.5 weeks, and they took great care of me. Janet’s daughter Adrianna was especially attentive and helpful. The kitchen has everything you need, and there’s an outdoor shower and a place to wash clothes. Janet’s sister showed me how to make fresh juice, mended my backpack when the seams broke, and sold me fresh fruit from their organic farm. The AC was very strong and the wifi was strong too. Highly recommended if you want a quaint place while visiting Isabela.

The host really made our trip. She looked after us, made breakfast, arranged taxis, and helped us book excursions. The rooms are cozy with AC and WiFi, and breakfast came with fresh fruit, coffee, juice, and more. It’s right by the beach and within walking distance of everything. Honestly, the best place to stay on Isabella. 11/10, I’d come back.

We spent eight days here and had a lovely time. The rooms were clean and well equipped, and it’s an easy walk to both the beach and downtown. On days when we had early tours, they gave us breakfast, small but delicious.

We paid $60 a night for a room for two and stayed four nights. It’s close to town and just a one-minute walk from the beach, across from the beach bar Caleta Iguana. It isn’t directly on the beach, but it was much cheaper than the places that are. Janet was very kind, the showers were hot, and breakfast was great. Definitely worth the extra $5/person.
