Starfish Hotel

The location was great, with an amazing restaurant next door, Los Palmeras. The beds were comfortable and the rooms had air conditioning. We felt very safe and nothing was taken, though our room couldn't be fully locked because the windows could be opened from outside. The bathroom had a horrific drain smell that never went away. Sunlight was very bright by 6:30am, so blackout curtains would help. Staff were only there a couple hours a day, so it was important to tell them what you needed while they were around. They did our laundry for a minimal fee, which was nice. There was no fridge in the room, we had to ask for a blow dryer, and WiFi was very spotty. I had to go to reception for decent service. I'd stay again for the price and safety.

We slept really well during all four nights. The neighborhood felt safe and peaceful, with the beach, restaurants, bakeries, a pharmacy, laundry, and small food shops all within about a five-minute walk. Fosforito, across from the hotel, was one of our favorite places to eat. Our room was comfortable and clean, with both AC and a fan, and there were hangers outside where we could dry our beach clothes. The staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back to Isabela.

The place was new and super clean, and the staff were really friendly. It was great value and comfortable, so I’d recommend it. They even asked when our ferry left and offered to let us stay until 14:00 since it departed at 15:00.

The bakery across the street is amazing, and there’s a restaurant next door open from 7AM for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I got a much cheaper price by arriving in person and paying cash. Bring plenty of cash, since there are no ATM's on Isabella. The hotel itself was quiet and clean. It takes a little while for the hot water to come through, but otherwise it was very nice.
