The courtyard was great, the rooms were comfortable, and the food was good. We had an amazing stay thanks to the wonderful hospitality. I’d gladly come back and highly recommend it!

After our late-night arrival at Quito airport, we found a lovely, clean room with a big bed and hot shower waiting for us. We’d arranged a taxi pickup, and the calm, welcoming house was just what we needed after a long flight. Breakfast was very good, too. Santiago was an excellent host. The next day, he even drove us to the bus stop and went above and beyond to help. We’d definitely recommend staying here.

Casa del Viajero is a charming, peaceful home, thoughtfully filled with beautiful objects the proprietors have collected and chosen. The bedrooms are very comfortable, and the attention to detail felt personal. We were treated like dear guests in a family home, including an incredible dinner in the dining room where we were introduced to several classic Ecuadorian dishes. We booked just one night because it’s near the airport, but there’s much more to Casa del Viajero. I’d absolutely recommend staying longer and enjoying the peaceful setting.

The host was incredibly helpful when our car had trouble in the mountains and we arrived very late. She stayed up to let us in, then got up early the next morning to open the security gate for us to leave. Our room was clean, with a lovely garden view and a bed that was sooo comfortable. The hotel is also in a great spot for an early trip to the airport.

Landing in Quito and staying here made for such a lovely first taste of Ecuador. The hotel is charming, our room was clean and comfy, and the food was delicious. The owners and their dogs made us feel really welcome.
