El Crater

The hotel grounds and friendly service made the visit even better. We reserved a table at the restaurant and had a top-notch experience, with superb views and food. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors felt true to Ecuadorian cuisine.

We booked the romantic package, which included dinner, breakfast, and massages, and it was a perfect start to our trip. We had a fantastic massage with Xime and Cris in the beautiful, unusual spa. Our room had everything we needed, and its view was one of the best I've ever had. The food was delicious in a restaurant full of lovely art, with awesome views. When an airport delay held us up, we let the hotel know and they kept the restaurant open late for us. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and impeccable. I can't recommend staying here enough. 🥂☀️😋

I still vividly remember my first visit here in my early twenties, before online reviews were a thing. The food was incredible, every dish packed with flavor and memorable. After lunch with friends, I wandered to the back of the property and found an almost surreal view over a crater: little houses below, clouds brushing the mountaintops. This is more than somewhere to eat, it's an experience. A lovely place to unwind, have a business lunch, or plan a romantic getaway. If you're traveling through Ecuador or Latin America, I highly recommend stopping by. You won't regret it.

We loved our stay at El Crater and would gladly return to this peaceful, beautiful place. The volcano views from our room were breathtaking, breakfast was delicious, and the staff made us feel so welcome.
