There was a lot of noisy construction, the service wasn't great, and the food was poor. One person in our tour group even moved to another hotel because of how bad it was. Fine for a night or two, but I'd stop there.

It's in a newer part of Quito, about 9 km from the old city. The rooms were clean, service was good, and there's a supermarket and laundry nearby.

There are four floors and no elevator, which makes hauling bags up three or four flights tough at this altitude. It's especially hard if you're not used to the thin air.

The location near Terminal Rio Coca worked perfectly for me, and I found the hotel clean with friendly staff. The bathroom was roomy, with hot water and excellent pressure. The lobby's front door is locked and managed by the front desk, which made me feel much safer. I'd stay here again if I were in the area.

I couldn't sleep, even with earplugs, because a private party in the hotel restaurant had VERY loud music. There isn't an elevator either.
