Hotel Casa Olmedo

It’s a peaceful hostel, but the shared areas still make it easy to meet other travelers. The garden hammocks and breakfast were both great, and Boris and Matteo went out of their way to help and offer advice. They helped me find snorkel gear before my Galapagos trip. I left my winter gear with them, so I’ll definitely return after Galapagos. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the shower has hot water. No complaints, I loved the place.

The owners make this place feel like home, even when you’re far from yours. They helped with everything from laundry and taxi bookings to keeping our luggage for free. We love the useful, clean kitchens, spacious rooms, and the included coffee is a real bonus for coffee lovers. The dog and bunny are adorable too. We loved staying in Centro Historico so much that we keep coming back to Quito. Mil gracias para todo 🫶

The family and staff made us feel so welcome, and helped arrange day tours before waving us off. Luna, the precious angel dog, stole our hearts too. The laundry came back in about two hours, perfectly folded and smelling so nice. They also had a bonfire with marshmallows and amazing bread. This is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. I’ll be back.

Colonial House Inn is a calm, comfortable place where you can actually rest. There’s a small garden, hammocks, and even a little gym. Secret Garden next door can be loud and busy, so this was a peaceful alternative for us. The breakfast was excellent, and the hosts made things easy and helped us organize our travels. They were warm and genuinely kind from the start, always ready to help. They also kept our luggage for several days at the end of our stay, which made planning the rest of our trip much easier. If you want somewhere quiet, cozy, and friendly in Quito, I’d highly recommend Colonial House Inn.
