Posada Mirolindo

We only had a short night at Posada Mirolindo, arriving late and leaving early, and I wish we'd had more time. The staff arranged rides to and from the airport and were very helpful even though it was late. The roads up to the hotel were bumpy and dark at night, but we got there safely. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast was delicious.

The staff did a lot to make our time in Ecuador easier. They arranged laundry and airport rides, and even offered to make us breakfast at 4:00 am before our flight home. The hotel was quiet at night despite being only 10 or 15 minutes from the airport, so we slept well. Rooms, bathrooms, and shared areas were clean and modern, and the beds were comfortable. We spent 10 days in Ecuador, visiting 4 cities and staying in 4 hotels or hostels. Posada Mirolindo was easily our best experience. We'd stay there again and recommend it to friends and family. Thanks for making our visit to Ecuador such a wonderful one!

A laid-back, charming oasis, with everything you need even if it isn't luxury accommodation. The bed was comfortable but firm, breakfast was great, and the staff were nice. The airport pickup costs a little extra, but it was worth it since the hotel is farther away than you might think. The rooms were very clean, and there were beautiful gardens with animals, gorgeous plants, and lovely views. The building has wood beams, wide plank floors, and a clay tile roof. Some rooms have a small balcony. There are pleasant shared spaces too, with lots of natural light and comfortable seating inside and out. I'd recommend it before or after a flight, or for a layover when you need some sleep.

The Sanchez family, who own the place, are kind and accommodating, and well worth taking time to talk with. They also have a small permaculture farm on the property, which made our stay more interesting. The hotel is only a 7-10 minute drive from the airport, and its warm, home-like feel made it a lovely way to start or finish our Ecuador trip. The rooms were cozy, the view was amazing, and the service was fantastic. If you want a relaxed first morning in Ecuador with a great breakfast and an astonishing view of the Andes, this is the place.
