It may not be a five star hotel, but the service felt five star. The location was great and the staff were very helpful. I asked where to get street food for dinner, and they sent me to a great spot about half a mile away. The food was good, and the walk back helped me work off dinner.

The breakfast was a lovely extra, and the terrace on the top floor had breathtaking views. The owner also gave us spot-on suggestions for places to see in Quito, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Darwin and the rest of the staff did everything they could to make us comfortable, and the service at Hostal La Mancha was excellent. We felt safe and welcome, and look forward to coming back.
