We had trouble finding the hostel when we first arrived, though public transport makes getting there easy. It's very centrally located, within easy walking distance of the city centre, and there's delicious ice cream right outside the shop. The place was very clean, and I loved having a private bathroom. It could get a little noisy.

The ice cream sellers in the shops downstairs call out “helaaaaados, helaaaaados!” from morning to night, which is why I'd give the place four stars instead of five. You'll likely be out exploring Quito most of the day, though. The old town location is great for walking to the sights and right by the trole stop. Rooms are large, kept clean with daily service, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The hot showers have fantastic pressure.
