I spent 12 days here for Habitat III and found it very good value for money. The neighborhood felt quiet and safe, with Alameda Park and plenty of shops and restaurants just 1-5 minutes away on foot. The historic Centre is a 10-minute walk, and there are taxis on the street at all hours. The owner can also drive you around the city or to the airport in a private car. The people running the hostel are welcoming and helpful. My room was clean, with its own bathroom and hot water that worked quite well. Wi-Fi was good enough for Skype and WhatsApp calls, and they cleaned the room every day. The reception sells drinks and other useful things at fair prices. They can even arrange to have dinner delivered if you'd rather stay in, and can put you in touch with good travel agencies for guided tours at good prices. I'd recommend staying here.

The owners gave excellent service, and it was a great place to stay. There are private rooms with hot water, plus somewhere to park your motorcycle.

I came back to find my luggage open, and the guy charged me 2.75 dollars for a small Budweiser. He wants to charge for everything, what a miser. That place is a rat trap, don't go.
