Hostel Quito Terrace

The hosts were super nice and let us leave our luggage there for a couple of days. The rooms are really nice and clean, and it felt like a safe place right in the middle of the city. The terrace is a great spot to work, with a view of the park El Ejido, and there’s a very nice kitchen if you want to cook. WiFi worked perfectly, and the metro and all the buses are really close.

The pictures really don’t do the place justice. The terrace is fantastic, sheltered, peaceful, and full of different spots to sit and hang out. Our room was huge, and the bathroom was great too. There’s also a café attached, which is nice.

The staff were helpful and nice, and towels are included. Breakfast costs an extra 3 dollars. There are lots of shared spaces, and the bathrooms are spacious. The rooms are a decent size, with no bunk beds, and the whole hostel is clean and nicely designed. It’s across from a large park and within walking distance of a metro station, with easy connections to both of Quito’s bus termini.

The owners and staff are all friendly and helpful, and everything is kept clean. For coffee, they make a good espresso, and the hot chocolate is delicious too. But the terrace is the heart of the place. The owner has set it up beautifully and looks after it, with plenty of plants and flowers that attract hummingbirds and other songbirds. It feels like an oasis in central Quito.
