Hostel Revolution

Sandra made us feel right at home and was so generous. On Christmas Eve she even made mulled wine and biscuits for us. We came back for a second stay because the beds and pillows were that comfortable. The rooms were spotless, and the showers had lots of hot water. The kitchen was the best equipped we've seen in a hostel and was kept clean. There's a cozy TV room with DVDs and international channels, including the BBC, plus a rooftop terrace. A wonderful hostel, highly recommend it.

Sandra made the stay fun too, she has a wicked sense of humour and is great to get along with. When I first checked in, her detailed advice helped me figure out where to eat, what to see and how to get around Ecuador. I stayed here twice in January 2026 and wouldn't choose anywhere else. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful, the kitchen was one of the best I've used while travelling, and there's filtered water there. The beds are comfortable, with extra blankets available, and the showers always had hot water. Laundry was good quality and affordable, and the internet worked great for streaming football matches. The terrace has a lovely view of Quito, and the kitchen is roomy and well stocked. It's near the old centre, and an inexpensive Uber can take you to the commercial centre. I had a lovely five days here, thanks to Sandra, who helped me and the other guests. My private room had great wifi for working while travelling, and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and filling, and drinks were available to buy in the evening at a very reasonable price.

The hostel was very clean, and the showers were nice and hot. It was quiet during my five days there because it was low season, but Sandra, the owner, still did everything she could to make me comfortable. I especially enjoyed the freshly made breakfast each morning, included with the dorm. Thanks, Sandra, for a lovely stay.
