Hostería La Chorrera

The grounds are pleasant, well kept, and have good facilities, but the service really let the visit down. The bar staff were rude throughout, and so was the person running the kitchen. Good facilities matter, but so does how guests are treated, and that part was clearly missing here.

The food is good and it’s a nice spot, but the place needs more staff. One person can’t handle the whole venue. The bathrooms were filthy, and there was a bad smell even outside. There wasn’t anyone available to clean them.

Entry costs $5.50 for adults and $3.50 for children. The pools are warm, not heated, and the children’s pool by the play area was cold enough that kids weren’t going in. It would be good to heat that pool, especially this time of year. The restaurant only had mote con chicharrón, which I’d give a 7/10, with no other food available even though it was a holiday. There’s also a sauna, shower, and whirlpool. Small insects and mosquitoes were in the water, so the pools need more regular cleaning.

A welcoming spot for some family downtime.
