The room was cramped, had no window, and the shower left the whole tiny space and our things wet. The place was noisy, and there are plenty of nicer options nearby. I took their advice and left, and Baltico close by was much better. When I asked about tours, staff yelled at me to “GET OUT.” I still don't know why. I told the front desk, but got no apology or help with finding tours. That’s not customer service. Avoid this place.

The staff were really helpful, and breakfast was included, tasty, and a good amount. Our double room was big enough and the mattress was good. It could be a great place, but it's only okay as it is. Some maintenance details need attention: the bathroom tiles needed fixing, and the room floor was dirty and needed sweeping. I could see previous guests’ barefoot and shoe prints, and there was dirt under the bed.

The pictures probably say enough. What they don't show is how cold and damp the room feels, with no ventilation or fan anywhere, not even in the bathroom. I keep wondering about the numbers written in pen on the bathroom tiles. Were these taken from a demolition 20 years ago, put back together, and never washed since?

I came in through the first-floor room, which had no scenic view. Its only window had a roll-up shade, but light from the bulbs outside the door still came in at night and made sleep hard. The place was noisy too, with paper-thin walls. I could hear every word, whisper, and sound from the people next door having sex. The room was tiny, and only one of the two bedroom outlets worked. My bathroom smelled like someone had mopped just before I arrived with extra-dirty mop water. They said laundry service was available and quoted $5 for 12 pieces. They also tried to add a $10 credit-card fee, though no surcharge was mentioned when I booked. The tour packages they try to sell are highly overpriced. I paid $18 a night, and in my opinion it wasn't worth it. I initially said to stay no more than one night, but take that back: don't stay here at all. There are better, more affordable places nearby.
