We were told by our guide that it was dangerous to leave the hotel after dark, and there wasn’t anything to do in the evenings. The hotel felt soulless, with what seemed like only us staying there. Breakfast was good, though they served what they chose and offered no options. The atrium was lovely, and they brought each of us a little sweet in the evening, which was a nice touch.

Guests aren’t the only people who should be treated well. Suppliers are part of the hotel’s service too. On the manager’s orders, we had to work outside on the street in low temperatures for over three hours, with no access to a bathroom. It was humiliating.

I reserved this place for my mother and her friends, but when they arrived, they were told the hotel was reserved for an event. Nobody asked them anything or even invited them inside, despite their being seniors. They had to go back out into the rain. The service and attitude were the worst I’ve encountered. They seem to prefer foreigners and don’t know how to treat nationals. I’ll never recommend it. I asked to speak with the manager and was ignored. This is no way to do business.

The food was delicious, the view was amazing, and the staff were so thoughtful. The rooms were well equipped, too. I was truly impressed, one of the best stays I’ve had in years. 11/10.
