March 31st was the worst night I've ever spent in Quito. The mattresses were so old that I sank into them, and the resulting backache kept me from sleeping a wink. I complained the next day and asked to switch rooms. When I came back that afternoon, my suitcases were already at reception. They said they couldn't move me because all the beds were the same, so I left. Then, at the next hotel, I unpacked and discovered that a new pair of tobacco-colored Lee brand pants was missing. I went back to complain, but nobody could explain what happened to them. They were stolen! What a disappointment. That's my experience at the worst hotel in Quito.
