Itchimbia Garden Quito Luxury Suites

My holiday was ruined, and I left feeling terrified and unwell. On the second evening, the room started flooding for reasons I don't know. I reported the problem, and it soon got worse. I asked respectfully if I could leave and get a refund, since I was on holiday and didn't see why I should put up with it. The host immediately said I had caused damage and kept some of my money to cover it, though I hadn't done anything. The host said this had never happened before, but Google reviews and pictures of the room showed mould. That couldn't have appeared overnight. I was verbally abused, directly blamed, and threatened over something I hadn't done. People who reviewed the recordings confirmed that she threatened me in Spanish, saying, "don't try me, you don't know who I am." When I pointed out that she knew I didn't speak Spanish, she replied, "in Latin America we speak Spanish." She filmed me, and I felt like a criminal. I've never been so disappointed in a place. I should have been treated better. How can you abuse someone until they're afraid? Shame on you. How dare you accuse me of damage?

The owners' care really showed, from picking us up at the airport to bringing an extra blanket for our baby, and even inviting us to dinner at their home. You can feel how much effort and passion they've put into this place. Our spacious apartment had lots of lovely touches and amenities, including fresh fruit, tea, a bathrobe, a power adapter, and heaters. The bed was very soft and comfortable. It's a beautiful find in a quiet part of Quito, with a stunning view and a small park next door. We loved it and hope to return soon.

The guesthouse is in a pleasant area with a great view of Quito. The lower room or rooms were very damp, perhaps mouldy, and both of us had breathing problems each day after we left the accommodation.

A cozy place with good prices, and the owners give you lots of attention.
