The rooftop was my favorite spot at St. Gallen Haus. It’s cozy, the city view is amazing, and I had lots of memorable evenings there with friends. I lived here for almost four months as an exchange student in Quito, and it was a wonderful experience. The house was usually quiet and comfortable, and I met a lot of great people. My room was excellent, kept clean, and had a beautiful view over the city. Sebastian and Gustavo were incredibly kind and helpful, always quick to respond and ready to help when something came up. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Sebastian and Gustavo, the managers, were extremely helpful. It felt homely like an B&B, had the professionalism of a hotel, and cost hostel prices. There’s a decent gym setup and a fantastic view, plus a lovely café/panadería right next door where I had a delicious breakfast every morning. The area felt very safe and had good services. Fantastic value, highly recommend!
