Villa Colonna

The old town was easy to explore from Villa Colonna, and the area felt safe, walkable, and full of charm. After five wonderful days, we left feeling we’d made new friends. Marlon, Jen, and Francisco made our Quito stay unforgettable. Francisco guided us on memorable outings to Mindo, Cotopaxi, and the Papallacta thermal waters and spa. As a local chef, he also introduced us to some of Quito’s best restaurants and suggested a few we might otherwise have missed. We had a great mix of local and fine dining, all at very reasonable prices. The hotel is a restored boutique property with just five rooms. Ours was spacious, elegant, and tastefully decorated. Each morning Marlon and Jen made a delicious breakfast with fresh local fruit, cheese, bread, and eggs cooked to order. They were warm and welcoming, always ready with thoughtful ideas for dining and sightseeing. Marlon was exceptionally helpful from the time we booked, sorting out our itinerary, offering excellent advice, and connecting us with Francisco, our amazing guide. I couldn’t recommend Villa Colonna more highly to anyone planning a visit to Quito.

This was our third stay, and it still delivers. The rooms are a lovely retreat from Quito’s bustle, with tasteful decor, crisp, clean cotton sheets, and nice bathroom products. The staff are attentive and helpful. We recommend it 100%.

We loved the breathtaking rooftop view and highly recommend staying here. The rooms were spacious and clean, and breakfast was delicious. Marlon and Christopher were kind, helpful hosts who were always available.

Fabrice made us feel like family and cooked breakfast for us each morning. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the service was great. This small boutique hotel has six spacious rooms, each differently and beautifully decorated. Its location is nearly perfect. I highly recommend Villa Colonna when visiting Quito.
