Breakfast is tasty, the rooms are spotless, and the view is fantastic. Getting downtown takes a bit of a hike, though coming back by cab only costs a dollar.

David is patient, genuinely helpful, and a great manager. He answered all my questions about Quito and Ecuador. The place is in the north-central part of the city, and it's good value if you're on a budget. Highly recommend it.

There are loads of restaurants nearby and a massive market just a block away. There's a great seafood spot next door, plus spicy Nigerian food across the road. David also picks you up and drops you at the airport. The rooms are great, and the old city and most sights are only a five-minute, 25c ride away. This is my favorite place in Quito. I come back every year for a couple of nights on my way to Vilcabamba Ecuador.

A clean place in a good location. It's an old house with good maintenance, though the garden is small.

David, the owner, is one of the most wonderful people I've met, in Quito or anywhere. He speaks both English and Spanish and is a very good chef. The place is comfortable, and the food is a burst of flavor. Definitely worth a visit.
