The days were packed with outings, and we loved ending them with sunset swims and night tours. It was also easy to get to know the rest of the group. We loved the traditional cabins, the great location, the staff, all the animal sightings, and the superb food. We’re vegetarian, and they made us varied, interesting meals that were always delicious. Our guide, Jairo, really made the trip. He was knowledgeable, personable and professional, with a fun sense of humour, and we won’t forget the time he helped create. Thanks for such an amazing stay, Caiman Lodge!

The canopy tower was incredible, and the staff were quick to respond to what I wanted. The food was excellent too. In four days, I saw an amazing range of species, including pink river dolphins, a tamandua, sloths, 5 types of monkeys, caimans, and an enormous anaconda. Francisco/Clever was an incredible guide, finding so much and explaining the rainforest and its species. A beautiful lodge surrounded by wildlife, and an amazing Amazon trip. I highly recommend it.

The rooms were spotless every day, and we felt the whole place was run with care and respect for the Ecuadorian Amazon. A detail that impressed us was their conservation effort with towels and bed linens: they’re taken back to the city to be washed. That takes significant logistics, and says a lot about the tourism managers’ commitment to protecting Cuyabeno’s ecosystem. We’d love to return. Juan Carlos and Nancy made us feel welcome throughout, and Chef Tairon prepared fresh, delicious meals that exceeded what we expected in such a remote jungle location. We also want to thank our guides, Jhonatan and Dany, for sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for Cuyabeno, and Captain Javier for making us feel safe and comfortable on the rivers and lagoons. Every excursion brought new surprises. Being surrounded by wildlife in that dense, vibrant rainforest felt almost unreal, and gave us a deep connection with the Amazon. The experience was unforgettable.

The guides really know where the animals are. In my first 24 hours I saw anacondas, dolphins, giant otters, 5+ species of monkey, and countless birds, including macaws and a toucan. Splendid location, good facilities and food. Highly recommended.

So comfortable for a place in the middle of the Amazon, and I loved every minute of the tour. A special shout-out to our amazing guide Hairo.
