The owners are a kind couple and were happy to help however they could. Anna, the English-speaking host, was wonderful. They even opened the pool for us at night so we could cool off after a long day in the jungle. The lodge is thoughtfully set up, with clean, fully functional rooms, toiletries, air conditioning, fans, and lots of greenery. It’s an easy, safe walk to town. I saw women walking in small groups at night too. I was there with friends, and we had a vehicle that we could park during our stay. A great place to stay.

We crossed the Napo River to visit Kawana Lagoon and saw three kinds of monkeys, caimans, birds, and more up close. Another day we took a self-guided, adventurous 1.5-hour rainforest hike near the Giant Ceibo tree. We also spent an hour or so by the pool each afternoon, and there’s a lovely view of the Misahualli River from the back of the property. The lodge clearly explained the activities available in the area. Misahualli is a tiny village, with only a few places to eat, but it worked well for a couple of days. There’s a small shop about a five-minute walk away and the village center is around ten minutes on foot. The restaurant doesn’t serve lunch or dinner or offer other drinks. We stayed three nights, and the owners’ care for the place was clear. Rooms and shared spaces were cleaned thoroughly every day. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, with hot water, strong pressure, plenty of storage, and hooks for clothes. Some rooms have private terraces; others have comfortable shared spots in the hallways with seats and hammocks. Breakfast was excellent, with fruit, yogurt, granola, eggs, and bread. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Our local guide Franco led a great tour arranged through the lodge, and the staff were so friendly. The lodge is right by the river, with lovely large rooms that have air conditioning. Breakfast was tasty too. Highly recommend it if you want to explore the jungle and learn about its animals.

Just a few minutes from Misahualli’s town center, this lodge is clean, quiet, and scenic. I slept really well with the A/C and enjoyed the new pool. Fresh breakfast every morning too, with eggs, yogurt, granola, fruit, juice, and coffee or tea.

Anna was attentive and quick to answer my questions. She did our laundry, served a nice breakfast every morning, and was easy to chat with. She also let us use the kitchen to keep drinks cold and heat some soup. When my wife wasn’t feeling well and wanted something simple, Anna went to get her bananas. That was so thoughtful. The lodge and grounds are clearly cared for with a lot of personal affection. Everything outside was immaculate, our room was clean, and the service was excellent. It’s only about a ten-minute walk from the town square. I hope I can come back someday.
