Lavendel Spa Hotel

The restaurant served tasty food with good service, and I thought it was good value for money. The spa is small and cozy, a relaxing fit for couples or adults looking for a quiet atmosphere. There are four pleasant saunas and three pools, with helpful steps and access for people who have trouble getting in and out. The treatments are good value too. The hotel and spa look a little worn, though they were clean and nice. The showers in both the spa and the room were terrible. Children are allowed, and there’s a small playroom for them near the restaurant.

Come early if you want to enjoy it, since it was fairly empty when we arrived in the morning and that seemed like the only way to have a good time. The place is quite run down, but a lot cheaper than the other options. I liked the powerful bubbles in the main pool, and the 42° Japanese pool was nice when it was empty, while everyone else crowded into the jacuzzi. The black sauna was the best part, with a cold pool beside it, funny decorations, and even a sauna broom to use. So, one great sauna and water, but keep expectations low. The hair dryers in both changing rooms were broken.

The hotel restaurant is the bright spot. It has changed names a few times, and when I visited it was called Ribi. Every dish I've had there has been excellent. The room smell was a bit too damp for my taste, and the breakfast was among the worst I've had at a hotel. Don't arrive within an hour of closing, because they'll have run out of everything, even porridge.

The room carpet had what looked like vomit stains, which was just gross, and the hallway near our room smelled of urine. The service was great, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast tasted good. The sauna and pool facilities were really nice too.
