Ilmatsalu Motell

The room was fairly spacious and looked nice, and the big bed was comfortable. The peaceful setting and the view over the pond were the best parts. The building itself is old and a little shabby, though, and the bathroom was a letdown: tiny, with no shower cabin, so the tray sits almost over the toilet and the whole floor gets wet. In the evening the boiler only gave slightly warm water, with weak pressure. The breakfast was very basic, with a formal food selection, but the cafe had a kettle, fridge, microwave, plates and cups to use. It was cold in the room on an April evening, and there was no conditioner, so it must get quite hot in summer. The person at reception looked untidy, with messy hair and clothes, and tried to persuade us to pay in cash or by private bank transfer. We didn't understand why, and later found card payment did work. Fine for one night, but we don't think we'll return.
