Park Inn by Radisson Meriton Conference & Spa Hotel Tallinn

The reception staff member who helped us was professional, kind, and quick. Her colleague seemed unhappy to be there and wasn't nearly as helpful. But we ended up canceling our stay and going elsewhere because of the cleaning. For a four-star Park Inn/Radisson, it felt like a real health concern, especially on the 7 floor, as someone else had mentioned. The first room hadn't been properly cleaned. There were used menstrual products in the bathroom bin and urine stains on the toilet seat. We were moved, but the next room was dirty too, with dried toothpaste in the sink and footprints on the floor. Both rooms smelled persistently awful. I've sent management photos of the problems and hope they deal with these housekeeping failures.

The saunas and spa are still the best part, with a wide range to choose from. But the hotel feels like it has slipped since my earlier visits. The rooms were in good shape, without major wear, while the carpets in the rooms and corridors looked visibly worn and made things feel less tidy. Staff seemed quite young, and some interactions lacked warmth, as if they were still learning customer service.

We felt unsafe because the lifts worked without room cards, so anyone could get into the hotel and reach any floor. The spa wasn't relaxing either: the pool and jacuzzi felt extremely cold, around 20°C, even though staff said they were at 32°C. Breakfast was packed, with too few tables and seats. Some guests had to eat standing up. The Italian restaurant was another bad experience. One woman in white gloves was especially rude, and we left without ordering. Staff across the hotel came across as unfriendly and unhelpful. Our room was dated and poorly kept. Water flooded the bathroom whenever we showered because there was no proper barrier. Nobody cleaned the room during our five-day stay, and the pillows and duvets smelled unpleasant. For the price and advertised standard, this was a major disappointment. The hotel replies to negative reviews with the same generic messages, but I couldn't see any improvements. The property felt badly managed and in very poor condition. I wouldn't recommend it, and would tell others to look elsewhere.

The pool and saunas were lovely, busy but very clean, and the hotel was clean too. Staff were helpful, and breakfast was acceptable. We had a superior room for four nights, but there wasn't anywhere to put our clothes, and there was no bottled water when we arrived. The walk to the old town goes uphill, though it was interesting. Taxis were easy to get and reasonably priced. The hotel Wi-Fi was hopeless.
