Starest and Citystop are the same place. We got a nice little room on the second floor, and were glad it had air conditioning during the warm summer days in Tartu. Liquid soap and shower gel were provided. The location worked well for us, with a bus stop nearby and the city center about 10 minutes away. There was also free parking and Wi-Fi. One morning there was no hot water, and our room wasn’t cleaned every day. A small fridge in the room would have been useful. Breakfast costs extra and is handled by another company, but there wasn’t enough information about what was included, so we didn’t order it. They should manage the breakfast service better for people who want to order.

Awful experience. I booked a room with a double bed, sofa, and sauna so we could rest after my kids’ competition. On the morning we arrived in Tartu, I got a message saying the booking had been “successfully cancelled” and a cancellation fee had been charged according to the price list. I hadn’t tried to cancel it. I called the hostel right away and was told the room was occupied, so they couldn’t offer anything of similar value. They promised a full refund and suggested another hotel in Tartu at twice the price. Thanks, but never again.

We spent two nights here. The place was quiet, and our family had plenty of towels. There were two rooms and a toilet with a shower. Breakfast was nice, with eggs, cornflakes, toast, and some fruit. A good hotel for a few nights.

The rooms are simple, but really comfortable, and the breakfast was tasty. The staff were nice too. I’d love to stay here again if I come back to Tartu.

This hotel felt very shady. While I was out, they moved my things, including my unpacked luggage, to another room without asking. I still had my key with me, so they must have used a spare. The other room had no AC, and they tried to tell me that online bookings aren’t guaranteed an AC room.
