Sakkara Inn Hotel

The owner was friendly and really helpful, and the hotel makes a good base for visiting the unusual sites at Saqqara and Dahshur. I recommend staying here. A good hotel.

I'm traveling by bicycle, and getting around Egypt is hard. The roads are in bad shape and there aren't traffic signs. The hotel itself is nice, though it wasn't easy to find. I asked some children where it was. If you can spot a mosque, you're close to the hotel. Have a nice day.

We felt right at home here. The room was clean, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The terrace has a panoramic view, and the hotel is well placed for the Step Pyramid of Djoser and the pyramids of Abusir. Mohammed welcomed us warmly and was so helpful when we booked a trip. He put together an itinerary for Sakkara and Memphis and shared lots of good suggestions. He also arranged a sunset horse ride toward the Abusir pyramids, which was amazing. The next day, his driver picked us up and took us safely to the airport. He was kind, great with photography, and helped us get lots of lovely photos and videos. Please pass on my big thanks to him. The setting is quiet and peaceful, with stunning views of the Sakkara pyramids, and the location is superb. Sakkara Inn is great value for money. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well kept, and breakfast was good quality. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend the place. I'll definitely come back when I'm in Egypt again. PS, if you ride horses, there are plenty of stables around the hotel where you can ride next to the pyramids.
