Amoun Hotel Alexandria

I wouldn't recommend this place. The rooms are small and old, and daily basics aren't reliably provided, like a hot shower in winter. Noise from the crowded area outside comes through easily, and the location itself is in a busy neighborhood. The staff weren't friendly at all.

Honestly, it's a good fit for a short stay and worth what you pay. The staff are respectful and very helpful.

The guest service lady was the only person who genuinely helped me, and she was excellent. I wouldn't come back or recommend the hotel. My room wasn't clean: the fridge was dirty and the blankets had no covers. The air conditioner leaked, and there was constant noise that made it hard to relax. Internet was unavailable for nearly the whole week. I reported it repeatedly, but day after day I was told it was my phone and that they'd check the next day. It worked briefly once, then stopped again, so I had to use my own mobile data. When I asked for just one extra hour before checkout, they said no, but offered a full extra day instead. Their booking system was open even though there was no availability, and they asked me not to book online. The whole stay fell far below what a guest pays for.

Helpful staff and a good location, though it's very noisy during the day and needs renovation.
