Hyat Suite & Private Rooms

The room had a lovely sea view and the bed was comfortable, but I’d choose another hotel if I came back to Alexandria. There were plenty of problems: the room was tiny, and the bathroom was so cramped it barely felt bigger than a closet. Even with the door shut, the shower flooded the floor, and the slippery tiles felt dangerous. We only got one towel for two people, and the person checking us in kept us waiting in the lobby for 15 minutes. She was friendly, but after the stress of traveling in Egypt, that was frustrating. Staff left at 5 PM and didn’t return, so we were on our own if we needed anything. The building smelled bad and looked grimy, there was a dirty broken chair to sit on, and someone had even pooped on the rug outside our room. The elevator was something else too. The area was noisy, which we expected, but the window wouldn’t shut all the way, so even more noise got in.

I paid 1730 EGP, but after speaking with the manager I accepted a refund. The room was tiny and uncomfortable, with no television, and the bathroom was very small. The toilet had visible poop and smelled bad. There were no tissues or towels, and the place was extremely unclean. The service was miserable. I really wouldn’t recommend it.

Ms. Israa was kind and especially attentive to my mother, and Ms. Mariam gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. She was professional and genuinely friendly, and even walked us to our rooms herself. I’d been unsure about booking after seeing mixed reviews on Booking, but the room looked exactly like the photos there, unlike what some comments had suggested. It was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and the facilities were well maintained. Service showed care throughout our stay, and the location made it easy and pleasant to explore nearby. The welcoming feel and accurate presentation made the stay memorable. Highly recommended.

A terrible stay. There was no internet, the toilet needed fixing, and roaches all over the kitchen made it disgusting.
