Hyde Park House Hotel

The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was great. I had a nice stay at Hyde Park Hotel. The staff were friendly, especially receptionist Ayman. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Unless friendly staff and a good view are all you care about, it isn’t worth the money. The food and room quality were both 0/10.

For the price, the location is really good, and the room I stayed in was excellent and very suitable. The fridge and AC worked fine, and the balcony had a nice view and fresh air. Staff were good too. The building is very old, though, and the entrance and stairs are dirty. The elevator felt scary, but with the hotel on the 9th floor there isn’t much choice. I stayed three nights and nobody knocked for room service, even though I didn’t need any. The “breakfast included” wording when booking is misleading. Breakfast is very modest, so you should have another option.

The view was a real highlight, and I loved the terrace cafe where they served the best tea. The receptionists were kind and friendly, especially the sweet young man. We stayed a couple of days in summer 2019 in this hotel, which occupies the top two floors of an old building, I think floors 10 and 11. Our room was on 11, but the elevator only went to the floor below, so we had to use the stairs for the last part. That’s a problem with heavy suitcases. Cleanliness was a big issue in both the hotel and the rooms, and there was no room service. The bed wasn’t comfortable, and the sheets looked used, with some not clean.
