Maamura Palace Hotel

You can see the sea from the hotel, though it isn't right on the boardwalk and has no beach of its own. There are several rented beach areas you can use. Breakfast was reasonable, but dinner choices were limited. Cars driving past with loud music kept going through the night.

We enjoyed our stay and plan to return next year. The staff were friendly, the location was perfect near the beach, and they provide beach pass cards. The rooms are spacious, but the toilets are old, there were no towels, and there wasn't a kettle for tea or coffee. Breakfast was moderate in quality with little variety, and there is no private car parking. There was some evening noise around us.

The reception employees were friendly and cooperative, which I liked most about the hotel. The location is great, but cleanliness was poor. It's an old hotel, with no pool, a high price for lodging and breakfast only, and no special beach access.

The sheets weren't clean. When I asked twice for a change, they said the stains had been there for years and wouldn't come out. They did replace them after I kept asking. I was given what they called a renovated room, but it felt like things were falling apart: rusty handles, broken electrical sockets with parts of an old plug inside, and a sink that moved out of place. During my two-night stay they wouldn't give me a sea access card because it had set hours, and on the last day I wasn't allowed one at all. It felt like they were just waiting to push me out before checkout. Staff also wouldn't let guests eat outside their nasty, stale-air restaurant because of their rules. With the unclean room and bad attitude from staff, including managers, this place is a nightmare and not even a three-star hotel.
