Sea Star Hotel

I got here late at night after having to switch hotels at the last minute because the sanitary conditions at another nearby property were appalling. I needed somewhere safe to sleep and booked this place right away. Instead, the room was shockingly filthy and old, with no sign of renovation or even basic cleaning. There was a long black hair on the pillow that clearly wasn’t mine, and stains showed through the sheets on the mattress. The towel was yellowed, the bedside table had cigarette burns, and someone had left an open safety pin on it. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. The two young men at the front desk, probably in their late teens or early twenties, were curt and indifferent, not friendly or professional. It was so dirty I couldn’t sleep. A complete waste of money and time. I’ll never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The rooms are small, the Wi-Fi is slow, and the TV didn’t work. I spent 3 days there, and I’m never coming back.

The rooms were dirty and cramped, with piles of dust on top of the wardrobe and on the curtains. I couldn’t sleep there. As soon as I got into the room, I started looking for another hotel. We were quoted 3 different prices by 3 different people, with strange “extra taxes,” and when their old keys broke, they replaced them with another old one and charged us almost half the room price. Terrible service, and not worth the money. The only bright spot was the young man at reception, but he clearly seemed embarrassed by his father/brother's way of doing business.

It’s pretty hard to find the hotel, even with GPS, and it feels overpriced for what you get. Room 406 was very small and a little smelly, though it was clean. The beds are extremely small, and there are no towels. The AC worked well, and the room had a phone, mini-fridge, and TV.
