Tolip Hotel Alexandria

The food was good quality and there was plenty of choice, with a range of sports and in-house cinemas as well. Housekeeping paid close attention to details, and reception staff were friendly. Mr Adel Hashim and Mr Mohamad Salah were well trained and gave outstanding customer service. Thanks to management for choosing such good staff and chefs, and for the world-class service and planning. The location is excellent too. A cover for the swimming pool ceiling during winter would be a great addition.

The breakfast buffet was delicious, with lots of choices, and the hotel was squeaky clean. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. I loved staying here and would come back next time I'm in Alexandria. Highly recommend it.

My son loved all the hotel activities, and we were both really happy with the stay. The hotel staff surprised me with a lovely birthday cake. Mohamed at check-in was especially pleasant, friendly, and a great communicator. The room service team was excellent too, especially Mostafa and Ali on the 5th floor. Mostafa cleaned my room every day in a very professional, respectful way, always with a smile. This will stay my favorite place to stay on my next visit to Egypt.

The hotel itself is nice and in a good location, and Sara at reception was genuinely friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff on my floor were kind too. I had a good stay in the end, though there were some problems at the start. I checked in around 11:30 PM and found stained sheets and pillows, a smudge on the TV and stand, and small insects coming from the bathroom plumbing. When I asked for another room, they first suggested cleaning it and spraying pesticides, which didn't seem right or healthy. After some back and forth, they moved me, and I finally settled in around 1:30 AM. The second room was acceptable and much better. Outside, beggars clung to me and followed me almost every time I entered or left, which felt uncomfortable and a bit harassing. I think the hotel should address the situation around the entrance, as it creates a poor impression and could affect its image. With more attention to cleanliness at check-in and better control around the entrance, the hotel has the potential to offer an excellent experience.
