Blue Lotus Nile Suites Hotel Aswan

The Nile view was beautiful, and my room was clean and comfortable. I stayed two nights in Aswan, and all the staff were helpful and professional. Thank you, Osama. The hotel is a bit far from the center, but the view makes it worth staying here.

The breakfast buffet was beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are large, clean, and very comfortable, with a lovely river view. You can’t really walk to places from here, but it’s easy to get a ride. Good value for the price.

The views are great and the staff were polite and tried to help, but they could only do so much. On our first night, the key got stuck and the room wouldn’t lock from inside. We were told to sleep with the door unlocked because the hotel was “safe.” That was unacceptable as the only option. The Wi-Fi barely worked, and even when it connected it was so slow that a simple website wouldn’t load. Breakfast was okay. Lunch and dinner were on the menu, but only some dishes were actually available. Anyone with a disability should know there’s a flight of stairs to climb to get in and out. There’s nothing around the hotel and it’s not walkable. Taxis aren’t available, and Uber kept cancelling, leaving hotel tours as the only option. Those were ridiculously overpriced, even more than Europe. That’s Egypt in general, a complete rip-off. Everywhere, someone seemed ready to take advantage. By the end of the trip, even a friendly smile made me wary because the next thing was “where’s my tip”! On top of that, someone smoked more than once in the tiny lift, which reeked of cigarettes, and there were broken glass shards all over the floor in front of reception.

The rooms were roomy, clean, and comfortable, and the view was great. Every detail felt more than perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mr. Islam, the hotel manager, for being so patient and helpful.
