Doroka Nubian House

We spent 2 nights here on the Nubian side of the Nile. It's a cute spot, beautifully decorated, with fantastic morning views over the river. Getting to the airport and Abu simbal was easy and quick. The staff were a lovely group, always friendly and happy to help, and the food was incredible. It's quiet and laid back, and I'd highly recommend staying here or eating here.

The peaceful atmosphere and nicely decorated, very clean rooms made our 1 night in the Nubian village lovely. Dinner and breakfast were amazing, and the staff were kind and helpful. Highly recommend.

At Doroka Nubian House, it was the people who made me feel at home straight away. The whole team was warm, cheerful, attentive, and caring, right down to the little details. The rooms were immaculate and thoughtfully designed, with traditional Nubian art and architecture giving the place a real sense of charm and authenticity. From my window, I could see the Nile flowing by. Having tea on the terrace and watching boats glide past is a memory I'll always keep. The fresh local food was another highlight, full of flavor and celebrating Nubian culture. Breakfast was hearty, and dinner was wholesome. You could taste the care that went into each meal. It also felt like great value for such a distinctive location, atmosphere, and level of service. I found peace and beauty here, surrounded by the Nile and Nubian tradition. Doroka Nubian House is a hidden treasure I'd wholeheartedly recommend. I'm already dreaming of coming back to this little slice of paradise.

The staff were lovely and did everything they could to make our stay good. Our rooms were spacious and had amazing views of the Nile, and I loved the common area for watching the sunset or having a drink. There was even a hilarious “Nubian party” one night, with everyone dancing and having the time of their lives. When we arrived late in the evening, construction on the hotel street meant we had to take a boat there. I thought that was amazing, and the staff handled it perfectly. Just outside to the left, you're straight onto streets full of shops, which was fun and convenient. Would stay here again!
