We found the transfer situation frustrating. Uber and Indrive drivers wouldn't come in, and when they did, they charged 300EGP/way. Some rooms also get a lot of noise. Level 3 is near the restaurant, open until 11PM, and the sound carries so badly you can hear people outside breathing. Level 1 is close to reception, where some ‘friends’ came by and chatted late at night or around midnight. Staff smoking at reception meant smoke came into our room, people tended to hangout outside the hotel making noise, and cars honking and driving by were a nuisance, especially late at night. The A/C worked, and hot water was ok, though it worked only sometimes. The lady checking us in was rude and seemed to favor white guests over Asian customers. I'm not sure if that's because white guests give more generous tips, but we noticed a different level of ‘enthusiasm’ and friendliness. For a short budget stay, I'd recommend it overall. Avoid it if you're traveling with kids or elderly people, and avoid rooms on Level 1 and Level 3.

Our room at Casa Nile view Rooms was beautiful, with a great view of the Nile from the balcony. Idris and Abdallah were wonderful hosts, and Idris’s aunt was an absolute sweetheart. They arranged transport in and out of the village for us, and packed breakfast on our last day when we had to leave early in the morning. We had a great stay. The roads are in poor condition, so getting in and out of the village can be difficult, though I think that's part of its charm.

The rooftop breakfast was a highlight, with authentic food and a lovely view over the Nile. Our room looked like the photos, and the staff were welcoming and quick to answer our questions. I’d happily recommend it.

The restaurant meals were delicious, and the peaceful view made them even nicer. Our room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. The team also arranged a free village tour and a memorable evening with local music and dancing. We asked late one night if they could put together a private full-day trip for the next day, including philea temple, elephanti island, the botanical gardens, and a felucca ride at sunset. They had it organized within two hours, which was impressive. Everyone was warm and clearly cared about making guests feel welcome. I had a great stay in Aswan and would come back.
