I especially liked the common area, where you could cook, unwind after a day out, or meet other travelers. The shared kitchen had what I needed, Wi-Fi worked well across the property, and free breakfast and luggage storage were a welcome extra. It also felt safe to walk around at night, with public transport, cafes, and major sights close by. The staff made me feel at ease as soon as I arrived. Check-in was quick, and they shared useful tips on attractions, transport, and lesser-known city spots. Everyone was approachable, which gave the hostel a relaxed, social feel. My room was clean, secure, and well kept, and the bed was comfortable. Each bunk had its own charging socket, reading light, and privacy curtain, which made a real difference. The bathrooms were spotless and there was always hot water. I had a great stay here on my recent trip. It was comfortable and affordable, with a nice sense of community. I’d recommend it to solo travelers, backpackers, or anyone looking for a friendly budget stay. I’ll definitely come back next time.

The manager is the main problem. The employees are paid so badly that they live there and can’t see their families or do much else. He comes across as friendly, but treating them or guests this way isn’t right. At first the staff were polite and friendly, but cleaning was unreliable, and they wouldn’t help carry my bags even though I had a recent injury. I found the place unreliable and felt its treatment of people fell short of basic morals and human rights.

It was cheap, but still among the more expensive places I stayed in Egypt. We had their best room, and it was disappointing to look at: dirty, with unfinished plastic tile work across the walls. The doorknob was coming off, so we didn’t feel confident about the room’s security.

The crew are super friendly, and it costs much less than other hostels in the area. Just note that although Booking.com listed breakfast as included, it wasn’t available because of Covid19 regulations. Adel is a great guy and my best friend. Ask for Adel, he did everything for me, he’s a real he man.
